Why do I paint watercolors?

. . . because they come vividly to the paper on the first approach. Galleries and museums protect their watercolor collections in storage. They can usually be seen only in occasional special exhibitions or by apointment. Rarely do you find them, dimly lit, in the regular galleries. Their colors fade on exposure to light. This transience adds to my appreciation.

Why do I breed Cairn Terriers?

. . . because they are affectionate, easily trained and perfect with children. They are hardy, active, and fearless and make wonderful watch dogs.
